From Middle School to Faith: How Summer Camp Is Changing Lives for Teen Girls

We have a group of girls who have been part of Youth for Christ since middle school, and it has been such a joy to be part of their journey. Watching them grow over the years and being included in their stories has meant so much to us.

This year, they were especially excited about summer camp. They couldn’t wait to come, spend time together, have fun, and learn more about Jesus. Many of these girls were baptized last summer, and it’s been really encouraging to see them continue growing in their faith.

Our small group times at camp were some of the best moments. The girls were engaged, thoughtful, and eager to talk. They answered questions, asked really good ones of their own, and their openness helped create a space where other girls in the group felt comfortable sharing parts of their stories too.

By the end of camp, something really special was happening. The girls were praying for us and for each other at the end of our small group time.

Walking alongside students as they discover who Jesus is truly is a joy. Summer camp is more than just fun activities- it’s a place where hearts start to open, and lives begin to change.
