Amid the Chaos Cali is Searching

The Westside Center can sometimes feel like a busy train station. Students are constantly coming and going, rushing off to practice, heading to after-school clubs, or making their way home.

Sometimes, they give a quick wave as they pass through, but other times, God creates a moment that reminds me why being present matters.

The other day, I ran into Cali. She’s been a part of Campus Life since 8th grade. I stopped and asked her how life has been treating her. She looked tired and answered honestly, “I’m exhausted. My house is full of drama.”

My heart immediately hurt for her. “I sometimes pray, but I don’t know if it’s working.”

I encouraged Cali and reminded her that prayer is powerful and God hears us even when we can’t immediately see the outcome.

Cali said, “Yeah, I know… I’ve been writing scripture on my wall too.”

Cali is searching. Amid the chaos and uncertainty she faces, she is still searching for Jesus.

I ask that you join me in prayer for Cali. Pray that Jesus would meet her in the middle of her struggles at home, bring peace where there is turmoil, and reveal His love and presence to her in a personal way.
